    This solution uses the streetlayer API. I am interested in something that uses the USPS API directly.

    PHP Address Autocomplete and Verification: Authenticate and autocomplete street addresses

    This class can authenticate and autocomplete street addresses.

    It sends HTTP requests to the streetLayer API Web server to perform several functions:

    1. Authenticate an address to verify that it really exists

    2. Provide autocomplete text options to an address partially entered

    3. Reverse search to addresses close to a geographic location

    This API will validate any address worldwide through the various postal services, including the US Postal Service for US addresses. The free account through the api provider offers quite a bit, or there are premium options if you more power.

      There is a message on StreetLayer saying that the API will be discontinued on February 28th. Just as I was thinking of integrating in a bunch of sales portals.
